Since the fall 2013, we are implementing and coordinating a two-year international project Volunteering as a Tool for Inclusion (VTI) on which we cooperate with partners (mostly national and regional volunteer centres) from Croatia, Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, and Romania. Thanks to this project, we participated not only in eight international meetings but we have also created two project products – the Good Examples and the Recommendations for Volunteer Coordinators on how to work with volunteers from marginalized groups. We hope these stories will inspire many individuals to get involved in volunteering and will encourage volunteer coordinators to welcome diversity in their organisations.
