Quality Standards for Volunteer Management in Slovakia prove the quality of volunteer management. Any organization in Slovakia working with volunteers can apply for this quality mark, however, it needs to go through a process of self-assessment and external evaluation done by trained evaluators. The quality mark is awarded for the period of three years. These standards were created in 2014, in 2015 we were focusing on the training of evaluators in all Slovak regions. In 2015, a total number of 96 underwent through the evaluation process – 26 were received the highest quality mark, 23 met advanced and 47 basic standard.

The quality mark is also published at volunteer opportunities posted on the website of volunteer centers in Slovakia – through the number of stars on the mark; potential volunteers can see how good is the organization they would like to volunteer for in volunteer management.
