In 2015 we created and improved conditions for the support of volunteering.  We have initiated the establishment and functioning of three new volunteer centers in regions where they were missing.

Representatives of the different partner organisations of the project EVOLVET met together from the 9th to the 12th of December 2015 on the Spanish city of Logroño in order to set the basis and start to work on this European project co-funded by the Key Action 2 of the European Commission’s programme Erasmus . 

Platform is a partner of a new European project EVOLVET (European VOLunteer coordinators Vocation Education and Training) coordinated by the Spanish organisation CONGDCAR with the support of six European partners including the Platform.

On the General Assembly of th Platform held on 2nd November in Bratislava three new members were approved by the Assembly: Volunteer Centre in Trnava, Volunteer Centre Trenčín and Institute for active citizenship. 

One part of the Wake-up Call project was a questionnaire in all partner countries: in Romania, in Croatia, in Latvia, in Hungary and in Slovakia. The questionnaire dealt with volunteer manager role, his/her duties, about quality standards in volunteer management.

In cooperation with Centre of Volunteering in Banska Bystrica we set up the first Slovak Quality Standards of management of volunteers to better evaluate which organisation has a good practice when working with volunteers and which needs a little bit of work on its practice. In July we held three meeting about possibilities and needs to establish new Volunteer Centres in regions where they do not yet exist. On 8th of July we met in Trnava, on 23rd we met in Trenčín and on  29th we met in Žilina.
